Facade Improvement Grant Application

General Information:

1. Read through facade improvement grant (FIG} program guidelines thoroughly. These guidelines explain application requirements, review process, eligible projects, and review criteria.

2. The FIG program provides 1:1 matching grants up to $7,500 per request.

3. Only properties in Hamilton's Historic Downtown Area are eligible for FIG funding. See program guidelines.

4. Completed applications need to be mail or emailed to explore@visithamiltonmt.com by the application deadline.

5. Grantees will be required to sign a grant agreement guaranteeing the project will be completed according to the details included in the approved grant application.

6. Payment to the successful applicant will be made as a reimbursement upon completion of the project. Applicant must submit evidence of all eligible expenses in legitimate documentable forms - receipts, invoices, etc. - for work actually completed.

7. Projects must begin within 6 months of grant approval and be completed within 1 year of grant approval unless the approval letter states otherwise or a written extension is granted.
